Scott Carpenter was one of the Mercury 7 and with his death, John Glenn is the sole surviving member.
It sucks that we’re losing the living links to the space race, such an important piece of our history. I believe that space travel and expanding out species to other planets is very important. Even though the Sun swallowing the Earth is many of billions of years down the line, any number of cataclysms could wipe out life on Earth before that. We really need to get some other planets to ruin.
Also, we need to teach the aliens that ways of our reality television.
